The audio of Gangaputrulu will be released on March 8th. Jointly produced by Yekkali Ravindra Babu and K. Basi Reddy and directed by P. Sunil Kumar Reddy, the film stars Gayatri Rao and Subbaraju. The makers say that the film is mainly based on real life incidents revolving around the lives of fishermen. They plan to release the film in March itself. The supporting cast comprises of Ramki, Tanmayee, Mahesh, Rao Ramesh and Jeeva. P. Sunil Kumar Reddy had earlier directed the Raja, Theertha starrer Sontha Vooru that swept numerous awards at several award shows.
