Himesh Reshammiya was born on 23rd July 1973 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. His father is Vipin Reshammiya, a music director and his mother is Madhu. He lost his older brother when he was eleven.

He studied at the Hill Grange School in Mumbai. When he was sixteen, he started working in a production house.

Himesh is married to Komalika with whom he has a son Satyam.
